About Us
Mobility System Solutions
goal is simple: to allow fully integrated, custom applications
to be created by non-programmers. Whether you are an average
PC user or an IT professional, our products are only limited
by your imagination, not your technical ability.
Providing mobile system
software for data collection solutions for over twenty years
has given our products the ability to deliver what is needed.
To provide usable software for all levels of business data
requirements in a streamline and cost effective series of
solutions.
History
It all started back in 1989
with a product called Data Harvester.
At the time, data collection
was in its infancy with DOS-based products, and even simple
barcoding applications required weeks of programming. The
cost for this was expensive so potential clients found applications
to be very cost prohibitive. Our suspicion was that if we
could find a way to lower the entry point, barcode scanning
would be adopted by many more companies. Data Harvester was
developed to allow simple applications to be easily generated
by non-programmers. Other companies selling barcode hardware
found out what we were doing, and requested that we set up
a Data Harvester reseller channel.
With the onset of Windows
CE and Pocket PC on touch-screen barcoding devices, we found
that the original dilemma remained: entry-level custom applications
were still cost prohibitive. While the principles of data-collection
had not changed, the abilities of the devices sure had. We
released Merlin in 2000 to support the added touch-screens,
imaging and signature capture. With the continuing evolution
of handhelds and PC, we redesigned the software to make it
even easier to use and rebranded the product as Javelin Mobility
in 2010.
That took care of simple
applications, but as technology and back-office systems evolved
in the 1990’s, there was demand for much more complex
Warehouse applications with more intricate logic and integration
scenarios. Warehouse Wizard was born… Building on the
principles learned over decades, we simplified months of custom
programming into a framework of tools to design mobile screens
and forms, incorporate logic routines, and fully-integrate
the data. Complex applications could now be developed within
weeks, and as processes constantly evolve, the applications
can be updated on the fly. Note: Warehouse Wizard was rebranded
to Wizard Mobility in 2010.
From the beginning,
we at Mobility System Solutions wanted to make data-collection
simple and easy to incorporate. Our products are provided
through a fully trained and supported channel of reseller
partners. If you would like to be directed to one of our partners,
or if you would like to be set up as a reseller, we welcome
the opportunity to speak with you.
